When is the Murtoa Show?

The most important question! Mark it down — Friday 2nd October 2026.

Right in the second week of the school holidays… so really, no excuses not to be there

Where is Murtoa?

Right in the best place in the world… Murtoa, of course! 🌾

It’s a historic rural town in the Wimmera region of Western Victoria about 30 km northeast of Horsham (roughly a 30-minute drive from the Western Highway). We’re nestled on the Wimmera Highway and just north of the Grampians/Halls Gap — perfect for a little country adventure with plenty of local charm!

How much does it cost?

Adults: $20 — worth every cent for a day of fun! 💃
Kids under 18: Free (because we like seeing them run wild 😉)
Concession: $10 — because we like keeping it fair for everyone.

Can I bring my dog to the Show?

As much as we love furry friends, regulations say no dogs (or other domestic animals) this time. 🐾

But don’t worry — bring the whole family instead… and yes, that includes Grandma!

How can I enter into the Pavilion?

“Great question! You can jump online and enter via Showday, or pop in and see us at Murtoa Neighbourhood House on selected days — we’re always up for a chat.”

Where can I stay?

Murtoa’s got you covered — from cosy cabins by the lake to the caravan park, the Railway Hotel and local Airbnbs. Make a few friends while you’re here and you might even score yourself a place to stay!

If everything’s booked (it happens!), there’s plenty of great accommodation just down the road in Horsham and surrounding towns.

Do you have Horse Stables?

Unfortunately, we don’t — our paddocks are all for humans! 🐴
